Golden Dragon Parade in Chinatown

Please be advised of the following event that will take place in Chinatown:

  1. The 119th Annual Golden Dragon Parade will take place on Saturday February 17, 2018 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
  2. Over 110,000 spectators are expected to line the parade route.
  3. Street closures will begin at 10 am and last to ~5 pm.
  4. The assembly area will be Hill Street from Temple to Ord.
  5. The parade route will begin at Hill/Ord and proceed NB on Hill to Bernard, EB on Bernard to N. Broadway, SB on N. Broadway to Cesar Chavez to the disbanding area on Cesar Chavez from N. Broadway to Grand Ave.
  6. College, Alpine and Ord Streets will be closed from Yale to Alameda.
  7. Expect traffic in the Chinatown area to be jammed for most of the day as well as some of the freeway off ramps from the 110 and 101 freeways that channel into or near the area.
  8. Please plan your travel time accordingly and allow yourself plenty of time to reach your destinations.
